Before I decided that I wanted to try to get my book published, I didn’t understand Twitter. I thought it was rather pointless, really. But after I attended my first writing conference and heard about hashtags relating to writing, editing, publishing, agents, etc. I decided to take to Twitter once more. And I am glad I did! I have learned so much from other writers, from agents and editors, and from Twitter writing contests. And the best thing I’ve learned is that ….writers are an awesome and encouraging bunch! I have already experienced my share of heartache or embarrassment in my quest for publication, but there is always some writer offering kind words of encouragement. “Don’t give up! Just keep writing! Your day will come!” And I see writers celebrating the successes of others and sharing tips, not being jealous and hoarding information. I am so glad I met my friend, Twitter – all of you.
