Where am I?

Where am I?

I thought I might write a quick post to let you all know what I have been up to since my last post.

I did indeed take a much-needed break from the query process, but that doesn’t mean I’m not keeping busy.

I have been working on another middle-grade fantasy. This one is an upper middle grade, so my word count goal is higher than I have set before. I am about 60% of the way finished (regarding my word count goal, not the first draft).

I have another (upper) middle-grade paranormal that is about 20% completed. This work was put on hold when the middle-grade fantasy I am currently writing blew into town and refused to leave my head until it was down on paper (bossy little bugger!)

I have my first novel, a lower middle-grade fantasy, out with an editor right now. So when I get her edits back, I will make revisions and decide if I want to query more after that.

I also have a completed lower middle-grade contemporary novel. The first draft has been completed on this one for months. Eventually, I plan to get editing on this one.

I have another idea for a middle-grade fantasy that I want to get started on once I finish the paranormal. I am really excited about it!

One day I will get back to querying. I know that I will receive lots of rejection, hey, it’s part of the process. I know it’s gonna sting. But I also know that if I don’t put myself out there, my dreams will never come true.
